Fourth platoon was mostly known for having younger members that were not accepted within other platoons. Many of those same service members didn’t have a stellar past placing them in a negative category. Although each platoon within the same company as fourth platoon had similar members, fourth platoon had significantly more than any other platoon. The leaders within fourth platoon were also not perfect but they made improvements that helped the platoon grow into a great unit. Being far from perfect didn’t stop fourth platoon from growing into a cohesive group of overachievers. Due to the collective effort of all members of fourth platoon being on one accord, they worked in harmony accomplishing every mission and task given to it. There were many obstacles along the way, but fourth platoon remained one strong unit overcoming all of the obstacles presented to it. Eventually the platoon deployed to Kuwait and Iraq to assist other units on the same accord to defeat an enemy that was on the wrong accord.
Today, practically all of the members of fourth platoon are excelling in life. All of them remember the days of old when they were growing as one unit, enduring the obstacles placed before them and hurdling those obstacles. Fourth platoon and many units within the military have learned that when they worked together as one team they can accomplish anything. The most important factors in accomplishing their missions and tasks were recognition that they had to be on the same accord and they had to stay on the same accord to help defeat the enemy. This is also why we have the greatest military on earth.
Believers can relate to stories like this because they know that being on one accord with God will greatly assist them in overcoming obstacles in life and prospering forever. Christ Jesus remained on one accord with His Father which provided a lasting effect for believers in overcoming obstacles in life. He is a member of the Holy Trinity which is the greatest team because they are always on one Holy accord. The best thing about the Holy Trinity is that all members stay on one accord and never fail. The Holy Trinity is true perfection and believers strive for that level of perfection but often get off track. This is where God intervenes or sends someone to help believers get back in accord.
God’s intervention comes in ways that we might not understand and that’s another reason why He is our God. He tailors the intervention to the situation so that the end result can have lasting effects to help others stay on track and eventually receive salvation. Let’s take a look at some examples of how He intervened or sent someone to help His children stay on or get back on His accord.
- As seen in Genesis 11, the people had one language and they used that one language to stay on one accord. They chose their own accord and were effective in maximizing that gift from God to build a city and a temple. They knew that God wanted them to spread throughout the earth but they chose to come together on one accord of disobedience. “Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” Genesis 11:4 . The Holy Trinity came down and then God confused their language and scattered them throughout the earth. He could have destroyed them for disobedience but He chose to give them a love tap by taking away their ability to communicate effectively (in a disobedient manner). All they had to do was stay on His accord and they would’ve been able to build temples and cities in other lands but they most likely would’ve kept the same blessed language. Their accord was not more powerful than God’s accord.
- “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him” John 3:16-17. God aw that His children were in too much darkness and they had no one to effectively keep them on and or bring them back on one accord with Him. Christ Jesus was given as the ultimate Light to lead God’s children out of the darkness and He is available now for all that want to stay on one accord with His Father.
- The Resurrection of Christ Jesus was not only for the people in that land. It was for all people on earth as seen in John 12:32, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” In the beginning, the people were scattered throughout the earth because of disobedience but God provided a Bridge to assist them with getting back on track with Him. As seen in Acts 2:5-6, “Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven . And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language”. Although they were once scattered, they were once again back in the grace of God because of His love, His Son and His gift. This event signified the love of God, the effectiveness of the Resurrection and the people benefiting from being on one accord with God.
Believers cannot afford to follow particular individuals that are not of Christ but it is happening to this generation. We have been warned about false prophets because many will use particular matters that deeply affect this country to try to lure people into joining their accord of disobedience. We also have too many people that have chosen to move forward on their own fleshly accords because they have chosen their desires over the true Word of God. All of their accords are sealed to the earth which will perish forever whereas being on the same accord as God will seal us in Paradise, living forever in His kingdom. We do not have another day to waste and this is why we must make a decision today to stay on one accord with God.
What accord are you on? Choose God and live forever! Blessings
